3D Multi-color printed Kimono inspired by traditional IKAT weaving, printed directly onto fabric with combination of embroidery within the printed process. The project printed in a collaboration with Stratasys LTD, part of Re-FREAM Horizon 2020 grant and technological partners Haratech, Profactor and consultancy partner The university of Art and Design Linz.

This outfit is inspired by my expertise in the traditional weaving technique called IKAT, where unique patterns are created following the dyeing of the threads prior to the weaving process, By adding to the IKAT process 3D printing technology, The outcome combine Layer by Layer, human craft with Digital machine.

The collection, as a whole, presents my interpretation of the balance between the worlds.

Inspired by traditional Japanese pattern and parametric design, the outfit presents a hybrid workflow with multi-color printing onto textiles in sustainably sourced materials.

Fully recycle 3D printed outfit

Re-Textile 3D project deals with the making process of Fully customized 3D printed garment system, based on specific body measurements using 360 degree body scanner and produced by unique approach of 3D printing directly onto recycled SEAQUAL fabric made from ocean waste twisted yarn, using 100% re-used recycled filament.

 This collection is part of Redress Design Award 2018. Presented at Hong Kong Fashion Week, September 2018

 In this project, I used reconstructing and rebuilding techniques from leftovers fabrics. I am Creating new fabric from old material by using shredding machines that shred to pieces un-used clothes, turning it into raw material once again.

Using different pieces of textile provides a large variety of patterns, colors and textures. This collection portrays my approach to new methods of sustainability in the fashion and textile field.

The outfits consist 3D printed fabric parts and fabrics - a combination of craft and technology method for textile developments.

This project was inspired by historical costumes from the 19th century, especially from the decoration of the costumes and the hand-made lace that attached to the garments.

Contrary to the hand-made lace, these 3D shapes made using an algorithm for my interpretation to “stitches in the air”.

The research revolved around discovering a new way of making lace. The 3D shapes are completely digitally made, using only algorithms and graphs to make them “computer made”, rather than “hand-made”.

Inspired by traditional African clothing, This garment is made of natural materials (100% marino wool, 100% cotton strings, leather) and synthetic Nylon bags.

This piece is a reflection of our commercialized society and our transition from traditional and ethnic wear and arts towards cheap, industrialized way of life symbolized by the plastic bags.
